Tonight, tonight in the big moon’s light, eight galleries in the southeast corner of the Mission open their doors for an evening of art and performance. Click here for a PDF map — though please note that this map, provided by the event organizers, has an error. Two map points are mislabeled: #7 should be labeled #8, and vice versa. The event runs 7 to 10 p.m. Here’s our roundup of what to expect:

1. Guerrero Gallery: Touch, feel and play music with a sound sculpture by Jason Michael Leggiere and Christopher Robin Duncan. Invited musicians will perform throughout the night, some on Leggiere’s and Duncan’s postmodern harp, others with their own instruments. 2700 19th Street

2. Eleanor Harwood Gallery hosts a “light show extravaganza” featuring the work of Jeffery Manson. Expect multiple performances using light patterns, puppetry and music. The event plays off the gallery’s current show, which explores the color black. 1295 Alabama Street

3. Galeria de la Raza presents another of its monthly Lunadas, an evening featuring music and performance by singer/songwriter Heather Watkins and poet Ilia Correa Sepulveda, with special guest Mijo de la Palma from Puerto Rico. 2857 24th Street

4. Kadist Art Foundation/People’s Gallery: Mission newcomer Kadist Art Foundation offers a selection from its art magazine reading room and rodeo photographs by Bob Newland. The Thing will also present a Parallel Black Jacks tournament. I have no idea what that means; you should go and find out. Corner of Folsom and 20th streets

5. Gallery Hijinks: Meet some of the artists who took part in the gallery’s group exhibition “The Letter Collector,” and see their interpretations of the alphabet in media ranging from neon to wood to relief sculpture. 2309 Bryant Street

6. Steven Wolf Fine Arts presents a one-night-only, exclusive engagement with performance artist Margaret Tedesco, whose work draws on installation, photography, sculpture and video. 2747 19th Street, Unit A

7. This full moon, Southern Exposure transforms a public house, pouring drinks created by local artists. Many of the libations are made from ingredients grown within the Mission. Sip on snakebites (a blend of kombucha and ale), bike-roasted coffee and ‘shine from a handmade still. 20th and Alabama streets

8. Triple Base projects a stop-frame animation on 24th Street that relates to artist Alexander Kori Girard’s installation in the gallery. 3041 24th Street
