I spotted this poster over the weekend on 18th near Shotwell. The first person to correctly identify what it’s promoting wins a prize — a copy of our zine of maps and local lore, “My Mission.” Post your answer in the comments.

  1. Wow I’m impressed that you recognized the statue right away. Most people can’t place it, even born and raised san franciscans. Wheatpaste thanks for putting me out there. Check out the show in person there are lots of SF spots to recognize in the show.

    1. You got it!

For everyone else, here’s some info about the show:

A solo exhibition of oil and acrylic works addressing the theme of transformation in the city, by Italian-born, New York-raised, Florence-trained, and San Francisco-based painter Gianluca Franzese.

It’s at Fabric 8 until April 18. More info: http://www.fabric8.com/.

John, send me your address at bridgethuber@gmail.com and I’ll send you a zine. Thanks!
