A man was hit by a car at the intersection of 16th and Mission Streets this afternoon and taken away in an ambulance. Witnesses said he was crossing against the light when a car struck him at about 3 p.m. Saturday. The man, who appeared to be in his mid-thirties, was conscious after the accident.
Several police cars, a fire truck and an ambulance responded to the accident, witnesses said.
