SUMMARY:StoreFrontLab: Community Lantern Parade Workshop 1
DESCRIPTION:Last summer\, we had the opportunity to take a community lantern parade workshop at Haystack Mountain School of Craft. The workshop was amazing in so many ways and it’s been exciting to see this magical\, community-building concept spread as our fellow students bring this experience home to their neighborhoods. \nOn February 8\, we’ll kick off a series of workshops to create a lantern parade for Shotwell Street. The plan is to share the tools and techniques we learned at Haystack\, then work as a group to plan and build a community lantern parade to take place this fall. Rather than a teacher-student model\, we’ll be sharing and learning together.  \nOther details:\n• Workshop is limited to 12 participants. Suggested donation of $10 helps offest material costs; all are welcome regardless of means.\n• Wear warm clothes and comfortable shoes\, and be ready to get a little messy.\n• Bring any food and beverages you might want to have during the workshop. There are several places nearby to grab coffee/lunch.\n• Consider bringing a sketchbook and/or an apron.
