SUMMARY:18 Reasons: Spring Tapas - Online
DESCRIPTION:Tapas is not a set of recipes; it is a way of life in Spain. Tapas means sharing food and time at the table. We eat tapas together with friends\, colleagues\, and loved ones; never alone. Tapas humbly celebrates the end of a working day or a long week. Sharing tapas means “we did it” and are together for the most important part of life: bonding. \nIn this class\, we’ll celebrate connection with an emphasis on spring\, when some of Camila’s favorite produce is at its best. Springtime brings freshness and color and is a time for tenderness and opening up. The simple act of shelling fresh peas together will slow us down in the tapas style of Spain. \nJoin Chef Camila as she streams from her home kitchen in Barcelona. Registrants will have access to a high-quality class video to rewatch as many times as they wish! Click here to see a sample video of what to expect in class. \nMENU \nEsqueixada: Catalan Salt Cod Salad with Tomato\, Onion\, and Olives \nFava Beans with Serrano Ham (ham is optional) \nGrilled Asparagus with Romesco Sauce \nFresh Pea Montadito with Whipped Ricotta \nPa amb Tomaquet: Catalan Bread with Tomato

SUMMARY:Verdi Club: Swingin' Dinner Dance Party w/ Kamrin Ortiz & His Knockouts
DESCRIPTION:Kamrin Ortiz & His Knockouts make their Verdi Club Dinner Dance debut!\nFor more than 100 years the Verdi Club Dinner Dance has endured as a classic San Francisco experience like no other. One of the few multi-generational affairs to be found throughout the city\, the Verdi Club Dinner Dance keeps it simple with a focus on great food\, live music\, and dancing the night away.\nKamrin Ortiz & His Knockouts\nEither knee sliding across the stage and throwing his jacket off or playing a sentimental ballad\, Kamrin Ortiz brings an exciting presence to any stage he’s on! Raised in Antioch\, CA\, Kamrin’s interest began through listening to 78 records with his father and being put to sleep countless nights to Coleman Hawkins’ BODY & SOUL. Eventually he was able to play the tenor sax and start searching for a sound of his own. Kamrin has a loud and commanding approach hearkening back to the tough toned Texans of Herschel Evans\, Arnett Cobb\, and Illinois Jacquet. He also plays the rest of the saxophone family and clarinet.\nKamrin moved to Vacaville in 2023\, where he travels the Bay Area and the states recording and preforming the music he loves. As of now he has toured Europe seven times and is looking at even more countries on the horizon.\nKamrin plans to further add more originals to the world and is set to release his first single\, Cavendips\, in Spring of 2026! Stay tuned!\nBuffet Menu\nTBA\nSchedule\n5:30 Doors\n6:45 Dinner\n7:30 Dance

SUMMARY:Brava Theater: SFBATCO and Brava presents: She Kills Monsters
DESCRIPTION:Join our Young Actors Lab teen students for a heartfelt and hilarious adventure into the world of Dungeons & Dragons (D&D). When Agnes loses her little sister\, Tilly\, in a car crash\, her late sister’s old D&D journal becomes the key to reconnecting. \nDirected by Michelle Talgarow\, this coming-of-age tale follows one girl’s journey into her late sister’s imagination\, where she discovers courage\, friendship\, and her own inner hero. She Kills Monsters tackles themes of belonging\, grief\, and acceptance. In this high-octane dramatic comedy laden with homicidal fairies\, nasty ogres\, and ’90s pop culture\, acclaimed playwright Qui Nguyen offers a heart-pounding homage to the geek and warrior within us all. \nThis production is the Young Adventurers Edition\,specifically designed for High School theater groups. \nThe Young Actors Lab is a FREE pre-professional acting program for students of all experience levels. The Young Actors Lab is part of the Mission Academy of the Arts at the Brava Theater Center and programming is led by SFBATCO.

Mission whiz Josh Ellingson marvels all with demos of his current works – thee eye-popping Pepper’s Ghost\, as well as his re-wiring of cult director Sid Davis’ Age 13. \nAnchoring the second half is a co-hit that threatens to crack through the ‘Quantum Consensus’: the US premiere of Riar Rizaldi’s Tellurian Drama\, a 20-min anomaly that asks way more that it answers\, on the uses and possible abuses of an obscure Malabar Radio Antenna\, on the island of Java in the Indonesian archipelago during the Dutch colonial period. Berlin skeptic Thorsten Fleisch contributes Astrogolem\, his digital hypothesis on a time-traveling Nikolai Tesla\, while Craig Baldwin shares his own revelations from his speculative history Spectres of the Spectrum (exc). \nPLUS Piercing the Unknown\, Hippies High on Alpha\, Clara Rockmore’s Theremin\, and other inquiries into novel pop-music forms flowing from those magickal waves of electricity! \n$13 DOORS @ 7:30 SHOW @ 8:00

SUMMARY:Z Space: Karaoke: Nightz @ Z
DESCRIPTION:In Z Space’s Lobby \nJoin us for a very special edition of Karaoke in Z Space’s spacious lobby as we celebrate Nikki Meñez’s 29th birthday for the 4th time and raise money for a cause incredibly close to the birthday human’s heart — Killing My Lobster’s Residency at Z Space. \nAfter pausing operations during the summer of 2025\, San Francisco’s premiere sketch comedy company Killing My Lobster made its triumphant return to the stage with a residency at Z Space in 2026! \nZ Space is proud to serve as a home for the Bay Area theater community\, and a KML residency at Z feels like a natural fit for both organizations due to our long history of artistic overlap and creative collaboration. So why not celebrate that collaboration with a little gamified karaoke in the spirit of supporting both organizations. \nKaraoke: NightZ @ Z is the perfect chance to cut loose and belt out your favorite tunes while enjoying a few drinks with your friends. Whether you like torch songs or bangers\, whether you are country or rock n’ roll\, whether you are an operatic star or punk rock screamer\, this is your chance to shine. All skill levels are welcome in our judgement free zone!
