DESCRIPTION:Thrillride Mechanics\, Circuit Network\, and Debra Mosk Productions with Z Space present\nTHE MECHANIX \nAugust 23 – September 6\nat Z Below \nAcclaimed and beloved San Francisco clown\, actor and playwright Sara Toby Moore and her Thrillride Mechanics troupe are delighted to offer their latest “science fiction-magical realism-human cartoon” show. A normal day at a seaside amusement pier takes a terrifying turn when people begin vanishing off the Tilt-A-Whirl and the Moonride Coaster without a trace\, leaving two ride operator-mechanics flummoxed and in deep trouble. When a bizarro Midway appears alongside the amusement pier’s real one\, it hurls them into a wacky\, alternate dimension where they discover their own astonishing secret along the way. As they delve deeper into this quirky Midway they are faced with the fundamental truths of how we fix and restore one another\, how we bring one another back\, and how that translates into empathy\, love and a sense of belonging. And all performed with Thrillride Mechanics’ signature\, soulful blend of physical comedy\, illusions and high octane characters performed by an all-star Bay Area cast directed by Colin H. Johnson. \nWritten by Sara Toby Moore\nDirected by Colin H. Johnson\nFeaturing an All-Star Bay Area cast: DeMarcello Funes\, Maureen McVerry\, Sara Toby Moore and Matthew Martin.
