SUMMARY:Manny’s: Coming Out Storytime
DESCRIPTION:What’s your coming out story? How did you come out? Are you looking for inspiration to come out? Come hear our stories and tell yours! \nComing Out for most queer/LGBTQ people is one of the most powerful moments of our lives. It is the moment that usually comes after a long time of soul-searching and coming to terms with owning and accepting who we are. And for many the decision to share our truth with the world\, our families and our friends can be terrifying\, exhilarating\, dangerous\, liberating\, painful\, joyful\, even funny and it can be all of these things. \nEven today being queer in this world remains for some radical and dangerous. Some of us are accepted fully\, some of us discarded by families\, thrown out of our homes\, churches\, etc. Some are welcomed with open arms. \nBut for sure Coming Out is an act of courage that transforms one’s life and the lives of those we love. \nCome hear some stories. A few tears\, some laughter and a healthy dose of awe in our fellow human beings.

SUMMARY:Z Space: Word for Word and Z Space present Absolutely Science Fiction!
DESCRIPTION:Word for Word and Z Space present\nAbsolutely Science Fiction!\nStories By Ray Bradbury & Kurt Vonnegut\nDirected by Delia MacDougall + \nJune 24 – July 19\, 2026\nin Z Below \nTwo visions of tomorrow where convenience turns catastrophic. \nIn Ray Bradbury’s prophetic “The Veldt\,” a family lives inside a fully automated “Happylife Home\,” where machines anticipate their every need. But when their children become consumed by a virtual reality nursery projecting an African veldt\, the boundaries between imagination and danger begin to dissolve. Together\, these razor-sharp classics explore technology\, parenting\, entitlement\, and the terrifying consequences of convenience. \nIn Kurt Vonnegut’s wildly irreverent “The Big Space F*ck\,” civilization collapses in spectacular fashion. Humanity’s solution: launch a rocket packed with freeze-dried sperm toward the Andromeda Galaxy in one last attempt at survival. Meanwhile\, an ordinary couple is stunned when their daughter sues them for the way they raised her\, forcing a reckoning far closer to home. \nSchedule \nPreviews: Wed 6/24 and Thur 6/25\, 7pm | Fri 6/26\, 8pm\nOpening Night: Sat 6/27\, 8pm\nRun of Show: 6/28 – 7/19 | Wed & Thurs\, 7pm | Fri & Sat\, 8pm | Sun 2pm\n(no show on Sat 7/4\, extra matinee Sat 7/11\, 2pm) \nRunning time approximately 1 hour 15 minutes with an intermission. SUMMARY:The Marsh: Josh Kornbluth - What Is To Be Done?
DESCRIPTION:Josh Kornbluth’s\nWhat Is To Be Done?\nFighting Fascism and Depression\nThe Marsh San Francisco Mainstage \n“Josh Kornbluth is a genius: his latest show displays the full breadth of his keen insights and biting wit.”\n–Theatrius \nJune 19 – July 31\, 2026\nFridays at 7:30 pm\nNo Show June 26 & July 3\nSpecial Matinee Saturday June 27 at 5:00 pm \nWritten & Performed by Josh Kornbluth\nDeveloped in Collaboration with Jon Tracy\nTicket Information\nTickets: $15 – $35 General Seating | $50 & $100 Reserved Seating\n90 minutes | No intermission\n(Please do not bring infants to the show)\nOnline ticket sales close 2 hours before each performance.\nAdditional tickets may be available for purchase at the door. \nShow Description\nFor over 35 years\, Josh Kornbluth has developed his monologues through a series of improvisations — often at The Marsh. What’s currently on\, and in\, his mind are the related subjects of fascism and depression. For over seven months last year\, he was mired in a deep depression. At the same time\, our country had begun rapidly descending into fascism. So Josh found himself in a Resistance on at least two levels: against MAGA’s depredations\, and against attacks from within his own psyche. And the struggle continues! Can he help save our democracy even as he tries to pull himself together? Will he have to perform these improvs from a psychiatrist’s couch? What Is To Be Done? is a work in (and of) progress. \nArtist Biography\nJosh Kornbluth (Playwright & Performer) has been creating and performing autobiographical monologues for over three decades. He also has written and starred in two feature films\, directed by his brother Jacob Kornbluth: Haiku Tunnel and Love & Taxes. For two years he hosted his own interview program on KQED-TV in San Francisco\, cleverly titled The Josh Kornbluth Show. His “Citizen Brain” videos (citizenbrain.org) have been viewed by over half a million people. Josh is starring in an upcoming feature film called Morons. He has a Substack called “But Not Enough About Me” (https://joshkornbluth.substack.com/)\, which you can subscribe to for free. You can also find him at joshkornbluth.com.
