DESCRIPTION:Bernal Heights Outdoor Cinema returns this September for Season #22\, offering free screenings of local independent films in parks\, cafés\, studios\, galleries\, and other cherished public spaces. \nFounded in the diverse\, quirky neighborhood of Bernal Heights\, Bernal Heights Outdoor Cinema celebrates San Francisco’s cultural\, racial\, and economic diversity while showcasing Bay Area filmmakers and fostering connections across the city’s creative community. Come as you are\, with your love for films and our city\, and stay for the beautiful stories via local indie films. \nALL EVENTS ARE FREE & OPEN TO THE PUBLIC. Registration for Film Crawls will be available on Eventbrite and is highly encouraged. \nWHEN & WHERE \nThursday\, Sept. 4 from 7-10 pm \nFilm Crawl on Mission Street \nWe are kicking off Season #22 with Film Crawl in Mission St & 29th St Corridor\, with four venues including Studio 45\, Cafe Seventy8\, STEMful\, and The Magic Patio. All-age screenings start at 7 and 8 pm\, and “Adults Only” screening starts at 9 pm. \nFriday\, Sept. 5 from 7-10 pm \nFilm Crawl on Cortland Avenue \nWe are thrilled to return to Cortland Avenue for a new season of film crawl in five venues: Bernal Library\, Progressive Grounds Cafe\, Inclusions Gallery\, Baukunst\, and the Bernal Heights Neighborhood Center. As a response to the city’s doomsayers\, we are expanding our efforts around the Hill by activating a new corridor that’s within our reach – where the western slope of Bernal meets Mission & 29th Streets. It’s time to spotlight the vibrancy of the venues thriving there.  \nOn Thursday\, 9/5 we’ll transform a Mission Street cafe\, a collective workspace\, a small theater and a child’s learning center into pop-up film theaters. The following evening\, Friday\, 9/6 we return to Cortland Avenue for a second film crawl of film screenings in an art gallery\, former bank space\, a framing shop\, a cafe\, an engineering office and the branch library.
