Well, at least someone hung up a trash bag at the 16th St. plaza this morning. But a worker on contract with Public Works told Mission Local that the city removed the plaza’s trash cans a few months ago. Read today’s update by Lydia Chรกvez, and send us your photos. We’ll be watching the plaza daily to keep the city accountable.
Southern Exposure, the 50-year-old gallery and arts nonprofit, is in trouble. Federal funding is tanking, state funding is dicey, and the uncertain stock market is gnawing at the assets of private foundations. Come support SoEx at its arts auction tonight.
