Today from Mission Local

Good afternoon!

A DBI engineer close with former DBI boss Tom Hui kept his job for nearly six years after being federally indicted in connection with an international prostitution ring. Joe Eskenazi digs around to ask what it takes, even now, to lose your job at DBI.

Mission Local remembers Joan Holden, the legendary lead playwright for the SF Mime Troupe, with stories from her many collaborators, friends, and family members. Holden died in January, one day shy of 86.

In election news, we asked the candidates for D9 supervisor who they are endorsing for mayor. Four out of eight had no endorsement.

A reminder: Reporter Oscar Palma, who’s covering the D9 race, will be at Martha & Brothers Coffee on Cortland Street this Thursday at 11 a.m.. Come by to say hi and share your thoughts about the district.

More soon,

Sara
