Good morning!

Candidate Mark Farrell, a venture capitalist, has asked to be identified on the November ballot as a “small business owner.” Farrell receives over $100,000 a year from the multimillion-dollar firm Thayer Ventures, where he is managing director.

There was no shouting at last night’s mayoral debate, but the five major candidates sniped at each other as they answered questions about NIMBYism, corruption, and public safety. Xueer Lu has the blow-by-blow.

A man was killed in a hit-and-run early Monday morning on Mission Street near Cortland. The area where the crash occurred is in the cityโ€™s โ€œhigh-injury network,โ€ where most crashes causing injuries and deaths happen.
