Today from Mission Local

Good afternoon!

New filings from the DA’s office say Nina Momeni, the alleged killer of Bob Lee, was caught on film reenacting stabbing motions while speaking to a private investigator. According to text messages also expected to be revealed at the trial, Momeni believed Lee was involved in the โ€œattempted rape” of his sister Khazar. She denied it and told her brother he was “fucking psychotic.”

What happens when passers-by get caught up in police car chases? A woman whose car was hit by a driver trying to flee a police chase says officers on the scene blew her off for hours, while she and her family waited on the street for assistance.

In better news, four former staff members of the shuttered Folio Books, on 24th Street between Noe and Sanchez, are opening Noe Valley Books in the same location. There’s been a bookstore there for nearly four decades, and ย a GoFundMe for renovations raised $130,000 from neighbors.

And this week we ask candidates for supervisor in D1 to weigh in on, yes, coyotes.

More soon,

Sara
