Good afternoon! Here’s the latest:

Police officers shot and killed a man who allegedly hit a bicyclist and two pedestrians yesterday evening while driving on the sidewalk near Union Square in pursuit of the bicyclist. The driver, who police said was armed when they found him early this morning, was believed to be a security guard at Dior.

The SF Youth Commission urged the city to address the California Academy of Science’s decision to disband a youth group after its members distributed pro-union flyers. Commissioners said the museum’s actions โ€œappear to represent a disheartening example of pushback against young people for exercising their voices and participating in social justice movements.โ€

Take a look at our updated guide to holiday markets around the cityโ€”it’s a very busy weekend! Tonight: The Castro Night Market, at 18th and Castro, from 5-10PM.
