A private equity firm  is in the process of buying Philz Coffee for $145 million, and Philz board members will get buyouts. But the common stock invested in by former employees will become worthless.

S.F. officials say they’re cracking down on drug markets, and this summer police have arrested 100 people. Now what happens? Abigail Vân Neely follows one drug case as it begins its long way through the courts.
