Today from Mission Local

Good afternoon!

Mission politico Jon Jacobo will be released from jail to “strict” home detention, awaiting his trial on sexual assault charges. The judge said he considered an outpouring of public support for Jacobo and his โ€œmany great deedsโ€ in making the decision.

We’re just 85 days away from the November elections. Want the inside scoop? Come join Mission Local’s Joe Eskenazi and the Chronicle’s Joe Garofoli as they discuss the races, tonight at 6PM at Manny’s. Tickets here: Bring your questions for two of the city’s best reporters.

Maybe they’ll explain the ethics complaint filed against combative journalist Susan Dyer Reynolds, alleging that she was paid by Neighbors for a Better San Francisco to lobby for Mark Farrell‘s mayoral campaign. When Joe Rivano Barros contacted Reynolds for comment, she accused him and Mission Local, incorrectly, of filing the complaint.

And when you’ve had your fill of political chisme, see if you can find one of the street taco stands on Mission Street that have been sizzling at night. Oscar Palma tried them all.

More soon,

Sara
