Good afternoon! Here’s the latest:
What will the election mean for City Hall transparency going forward? The Sunshine Task Force is asking the S.F. Ethics Commission to investigate Mayor London Breed for deleting text messages in “egregious” and “willful” violation of public records law. But Joe Rivano Barros explains why Breed’s election loss means the Ethics Commission is unlikely to do anything.
The Planning Commission unanimously endorsed the Mission Action Plan 2030, an update of its guidelines for fighting displacement. Most of about 50 speakers supported the plan, though three commenters argued against its focus on affordable housing.
Wow, we’ve got some generous readers! Special thanks to Joanne Yee, Dan Orseck, and Diane Sidd-Champion! Please join them in donating to Mission Local’s year-end fundraising campaign.
More soon,
Sara
We’re hoping to raise $200,000 by Dec. 31
We have $70,000 in matching funds for our end-of-year-fundraising campaign, meaning every dollar given right now is doubled. Will you help us reach our goal?
