Today from Mission Local

Good afternoon!

New filings show mayoral candidate and millionaire heir Daniel Lurie far ahead in the money race, with over $6.6 million going to his campaign. Mayor London Breed, the only other candidate with a PAC, has raised $2.7 million, and has more individual donors than any other candidate. We break down the numbers for you.

Mission Local continues to report on Mayor Breed’s “very aggressive” sweeps, which began this morning with DPW confiscating the belongings of 7 homeless residents. We also talked with people living under the 101 freeway who’ve already been through multiple sweeps, and are unable to find housing.

See how they run tags along with mayoral candidate Aaron Peskin as he visits the “baby-faced power brokers” of the SF Young Democrats, gets through a marathon meeting of the Board of Supes, and gives a really fun interview to a radio journalist from Finland.

More soon,

Sara
