Today from Mission Local

Good afternoon!

A consultant for mayoral candidate Mark Farrell consultant texted that Kanishka Cheng, the founder of political advocacy group TogetherSF, was “guiding the ship.” Joe Eskenazi and Joe Rivano Barros ask how much daylight remains between the advocacy group and Farrell’s campaign— and what it means legally.

Mission Local’s your source for all things election: we file dispatches from each of the mayoral campaigns, ask questions of all the candidates for district supervisor, and, always, follow the money. Our reporters want to hear from you! See when they’ll be in your district covering the races. Come have coffee and share your thoughts—or email reporters with tips.

Today we’ve got Daniel Lurie in Chinatown, and a question for D3 candidates. Only one talked about “reviving the civic enthusiasm and hope for urban progresss in in the late 19th century.”

More soon,

Sara
