Good morning!

Like you, we’re still waiting for the other shoe—that is, the next round of votes—to drop. Stay tuned for updates from the Board of Elections after 4PM today.

We’re starting the morning with questions about how Together SF and Michael Mortiz, who sunk about $15 million into contests for Mark Farrell and Prop D, could lose those races so badly. Joe Rivano Barros reports on what went wrong with the billionaire’s plan.

Then we gather some advice for Daniel Lurie, currently the front-runner in the mayor’s race, from political figures who’ve seen how a Trump administration could try to “make an example” of San Francisco. Both Aaron Peskin and Scott Weiner offered their help to defend the city.

Read what Danny Sauter in D3 and Jackie Fielder in D9, both likely winners of their supervisorial races, have to say going forward.

Meanwhile, prosecutors have rested their case in the trial of Nima Momeni for the killing of Bob Lee. The judge rejected defense attorneys’ request for a mistrial and acquittal; the defense will call witnesses today.

More soon,
