Almost every heavily Asian precinct in San Francisco picked Daniel Lurie as first choice in last week’s election, despite endorsements by Asian leaders and clubs for his rivals. Yujie Zhou looks at exactly how the mayor-elect put together his winning strategy with Asian voters.

The latest round of ballots has been counted, with incumbent Board President Matt Alexander ahead of John Jersin by about 350 votes. In D11, Chyanne Chen holds a 205-vote lead over Michael Lai. See our updates here; about 19,500 ballots remain to be counted.

Defense attorneys for Nima Momeni called a forensics expert to testify in his trial for the murder of Bob Lee. The expert said Lee’s stab wounds were consistent with the theory that Moumeni was acting in self-defense.
