Money and politics, politics and money. Joe Rivano Barros breaks down who’s supporting which candidates in the obscure but very important race for the county Democratic party committee, the DCCC. We look at a flush new tech-backed PAC, its donors, and its connections with other political action committees.

With all the money flowing in for the March 5 election, you’re probably seeing a lot of ads. Paul Harkin, a longtime harm reduction worker, was shocked to see his photo used in a video supporting Prop F, Mayor Breed’s proposal to require drug-testing and mandatory treatment for adults who get city assistance. Harkin, an ardent opponent of Prop F, says it’s dangerous and doomed to failure. “That shit doesn’t work.”
