Good morning!

We’ve got two great tools today to help you through the ballot. Abigail Van Neely’s cat explains ranked-choice voting–it’s the best political education video of the year! And we ask all 34 candidates for supervisor how they’re voting for mayor (including #2 picks) and city ballot measures. You’ll see some surprising choices.

Many of San Francisco’s official Democratic clubs are facing challenges as members age, neighborhoods change, and in-person meetings become rarer. But they’re also struggling with big-money advocacy groups that replicate clubs’ traditional roles—but on a larger scale, and with a lot more cash.

Yesterday, jurors in the trial of Nima Momeni, who is accused of knifing and killing tech exec Bob Lee, saw surveillance camera footage for the first time. Prsecutors say the grainy video captured the moment of the stabbing.

We’ve got you covered for Halloween, with a map of all the streets closed off this evening for trick or treating. Stay safe!

More soon,

Sara
