Today from Mission Local

Good afternoon!

A judge dismissed a sexual assault case against city commissioner William Monroe Palmer II yesterday for lack of evidence, at the request of the DA’s office. Prosecutors said the alleged victim was involved in a Chicago incident that could affect her credibility. Palmer serves on the DA’s Sentencing Commission as well as the Sheriffโ€™s Department Oversight Board.

We asked D5 candidates for supervisor what they think makes their district special. Only one said, “The Harlem of the West. The Summer of Love. The school board recall ….”

Do you have a supervisor’s race in your district? Check here to see when you can meet up with Mission Local reporters covering it. Today at 4 p.m. Kelly Waldron will be in D7, at Ballast Coffee.

More soon,

Sara
