The S.F. county jail has started a new practice of strip-searching inmates after they see their attorneys—a move that is keeping inmates from meeting with counsel. Abigail Vân Neely reports.

Tenants at the Plaza East apartments have been waiting years for promised redevelopment and repairs. Now the developer is pulling out, leaving the S.F. Housing Authority in charge. Marina Newman explains residents’ fears.
