Today from Mission Local

Good morning!

Well, that’s one way for the police to rack up a “huge success”—don’t storm in and make unnecessary arrests. As SFPD Chief Bill Scott noted, the Dolores Park hill bomb took place a block over without incident, when 60 officers simply stood by.

Update: Police arrested a suspect in the “probable kidnapping” of a 17-year-old girl at 3 a.m. Wednesday, after she was found . Around 7 a.m., BART police questioned residents on Liberty Street, and asked to be let in to an apartment building on the block. The building did not end up being relevant to the case.

If you were elected D5 supervisor, which city laws would you abolish? We ask the candidates. Only one mentioned “one lawmaker in particular that I would like to replace.”

More soon,
