There’ll be a lot happening around the city for Pride this weekend—don’t try to drive to Dolores Park, and check back with us to keep up on events.

In other news, after-school programs in eleven high schools could lose half their funding next year, since the district cut funding to schools that didn’t qualify for money from the state. Program leaders told Mission Local they’re shocked at the lack of financial support by the district.

Some good news: The “Beauty on Bryant” affordable housing complex is now open on Florida Street. The nine-story, 100% affordable housing complex will also host a Carnaval arts space.

Queer prom was a huge hit with the young revelers who came to dance and celebrate with friends at the LBGT Center. “No one here is boring,” said one participant.
