Good afternoon!

A suspected arson fire at St. John the Evangelist Episcopal Church in the early hours of Good Friday damaged the south wall of the 15th Street sanctuary. Nobody was hurt, but parishioners and the people of the Gubbio Project will be displaced until after Easter.

Residents of RVs who’d been living on Bernal Heights Boulevard for years have been evicted by the city after some neighbors complained. Other supportive neighbors and volunteers helped them move move together to a new spot in the Bayview.

Xueer Lu talked with the “Chinese uncles” at Claddagh Coffee in the Excelsior about the upcoming contests for supervisor and mayor. Our reporters will be out covering all the district races; check their schedules and come talk with them.
