Today from Mission Local

Good afternoon!

We’ve got a great story today from Junyao Yang on Carlos Aroche, the Mission’s two-time Northern California amateur boxing champ who won his first fight at 12. Aroche, now 21, tells Junyao it’s okay to get hurt or make mistakes. “That’s just how you get better.”

How do you make policing better? We ask candidates for supervisor in D5 what they think of Prop E, which would weaken police oversight and loosen policies on surveillance and car chases. Only one calls it “asinine.

More soon,

Sara
