Join us for this evening with the leaders of two of the most influential progressive media groups in the nation right now. \nInequality Media Civic Action was founded in 2018 by former Secretary of Labor and famous economist Robert Reich. More Perfect Union was founded in 2021 by Bernie Sanders’s Campaign Manager Faiz Shakir and Communications Director Josh Miller-Lewis. Both have been instrumental in different ways towards expanding progressive and populist messaging ever since. So let’s explore together what the real-world impact has been of their organizations\, how they compete with the corporate media\, and what their long-term goals are. \n_____________________________ \nJosh Miller-Lewis co-founded More Perfect Union in 2021 and serves as Editor-In-Chief\, managing the newsroom. Under Josh’s leadership\, More Perfect Union has garnered over 2 billion video views and is now the fastest growing news channel on YouTube. Under his leadership MPU has been nominated for 10 Emmy’s and won one Emmy\, two Webby’s and two Sidney Hillman awards. Prior to co-founding More Perfect Union\, Josh served as Senator Bernie Sanders’ Communications Director and as Creative Director for Bernie 2020\, managing the first in-house TV & digital ad production team on a presidential campaign. \n_____________________________ \nHeather Kinlaw Lofthouse is the Executive Director of Inequality Media Civic Action and the Executive Producer of the documentary The Last Class. She is also the co-host of “The Coffee Klatch\,” a conversational podcast about the news of the week\, with her longtime collaborator Robert Reich. DESCRIPTION:In June 2026\, the Woodchopper’s Ball is offering  monthly class series in LINDY HOP and BALBOA.  All June 2026 monthly class series run on Tuesdays for 5 weeks: June 2\, 9\, 16\, 23\, and 30. \nCheck the class descriptions and schedule below to decide which class series to take.  By registering in advance (by Sunday\, May 31\, 11:59pm)\, you guarantee yourself a spot in class and pay only $105/person (Beginning Lindy Hop\, $90/person) for the full monthly class series\, saving $25 (Beginning Lindy Hop\, save $20) ! \nYou can also register for any of the full monthly class series (space permitting) at the door on the first day of class\, but you’ll need to pay the full price\, $110/person. \nEither way\, enrollment includes admission to the live music Dance Parties immediately following each week’s classes for the whole month!  Leader and Follower dance roles are non-gender specific.  Newcomers\, singles\, all genders\, and all ages are welcome!
