MCCLA: Día de Los Angelitos

Join us for a heartfelt evening of love, reflection, art, and music as we come together to remember our niños y niñas on Friday, November 1, 2024, from 7 – 8 PM at Mission Cultural Center for Latino Arts. 💕

What is Día de los Angelitos? 👼
Día de los Angelitos happens the day before the big events of November 2 because it’s said the spirits of the children are so eager to come back to the land of the living, that they run ahead of the adults, who arrive a night later. A lot of care goes into Día de los Angelitos. Despite the pain one must endure following the death of a child, this celebration is vivid and colorful. Rather than mourn newly dead children, grieving parents instead are happy. Though they have lost a child, they have gained an angel.🌸✨
