Manny’s: State of the Art(s) – Protecting Nonprofits in an Era of Uncertainty

Across San Francisco, nonprofit organizations face the fallout of the Trump administration’s funding cuts. As the administration’s attacks on DEI, education, the free press, and the arts escalate, many of our city’s vital institutions have lost critical federal funds. Meanwhile, corporate sponsorships are dropping, and foundation grants are drying up over fear of inciting Trump’s wrath.
This is not just a national issue. It’s a local emergency. San Francisco’s nonprofits are the soul of our city—they provide critical services, build community, sustain the arts, inform the public, uplift underrepresented voices, and fight for justice. Now, their future depends on us.
Join us for a discussion with nonprofit leaders about how we can support their critical work in our community. Hear how they’re responding to threats, adapting to shrinking resources, and finding creative ways to survive in a hostile political climate.
