Manny’s: Social Prescribing: A New Approach to Improving Health and Wellness

“Social Prescribing” focuses on improving health by connecting patients with social resources within their communities to improve a range of health conditions, including issues related to mental health, depression and loneliness. The Bay Area is a leader in this growing field, and local patients are increasingly being “prescribed” arts activities, nature walks, food interventions, volunteering and civic activities as a supplement to traditional medical care.
This program features national and local pioneers who will discuss their exciting approaches to social prescriptions and what it means for promoting health.
