April 20, 2023 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm

As California emerges from a season packed with extreme weather, The San Francisco Chronicle’s new Weather Science Team is here to make sense of it for you!

Join the Chronicle’s California Weather Wonks — editor Hannah Hagemann, newsroom meteorologist Gerry Díaz and reporter Jack Lee — for a fun-filled night of weather wonkery here at Manny’s!

Why are we experiencing so many intense storms?

How will the rain affect fire season?

What’s the Fujiwhara effect?

And is this the Bay Area’s new normal?

We’ll help you understand the science behind this winter’s storms, discuss what climate change means for the Bay Area’s temperate weather and answer your burning meteorological questions in this next edition of Chronicle Live at Manny’s.
