In June, immigration arrests ramped up in San Francisco — and Mission Local has been covering the actions minute by minute.

As thousands flocked to the streets of Los Angeles to protest ICE agents and National Guard troops there, ICE began carrying out its own, more limited, operations in San Francisco, picking up people outside court hearings and check-ins. In videos, ICE agents are sometimes surrounded by protesters attempting to stop their arrests.

Thousands have taken to the streets and SFPD has arrested over 240 after the actions, saying they vandalized storefronts.
