Author Bios:
Tony Piedra crafted worlds at Pixar Animation Studios for nine years. Now, he’s bringing his skills and experiences from the film industry and putting them to use as an author and illustrator of children’s books. His debut picture book, The Greatest Adventure, is published by Arthur A. Levine Books, an Imprint of Scholastic Inc.

Naomi Lau is a book creator, former teacher and business consultant. She creates stories about life’s fruit, integrating diversity and heart values for meaningful learning. She is the Founder and Chief Storyteller at San Francisco-based independent publisher Wildberry Ink and creator of four picture books—Commander Charlee: In Search of a Space Crew, Gobbles: Troubles with Turkeys, Winter Melon Story, and The Village of the Trees.

Aida Salazar​ is a writer and arts advocate whose writings for adults and children explore issues of identity and social justice. She is the author of the middle grade verse novels,The Moon Within (2019), the upcoming The Land of the Cranes (2020), and the bio picture book Jovita Wore Pants: The Story of a Revolutionary Fighter (2021), all published by Scholastic. She is a founding member of Las Musas – a debut Latinx kid lit author collective. Her story, By the Light of the Moon, was adapted into a ballet production by the Sonoma Conservatory of Dance.

Kalyn Josephson graduated from Santa Clara University with a degree in Biology and a degree in Creative Writing and works as a technical writer in the tech industry.
