Anthony Pahnke is an Assistant Professor of International Relations at San Francisco State University. His research focuses on development, social movements, and political institutions in North and South America. Besides publishing in a variety of academic journals, he is the author of Brazil’s Long Revolution: Radical Achievements of the the Landless Workers Movement.

Lis Blanco is a visiting researcher at the Department of Anthropology at UC Berkeley. She has a bachelor and masters degree in Social Sciences at the State University of Campinas (Unicamp). Currently, a PhD student at the State University of Campinas (Unicamp), her dissertation research covers the theme of public policies related to Food, Hunger and Food Security, aiming thus to comprehend the interactions between people, politics, and objects.

Alice Taylor is a researcher, graduate student instructor, and PhD student in the UC Berkeley Graduate School of Education. Her work focuses on youth and feminism.

Gustavo Capela is a PhD Student in the Department of Anthropology at UC Berkeley. His work focuses on political parties, citizenship, and law.
