About Kat Lopez-White

Kat is a Bay Area-based paper craft and collage artist. Born and raised in Manila, Philippines, she always had fascination in manipulating and creating with paper. She remembers growing-up using her dad’s swiss army knife to cut and cooked rice to paste paper dolls because her household never had proper craft scissors or glue.

What started as a pandemic hobby in early 2021 turned into a passion project when Kat found her voice and style of using paper cutting, collage, and layering techniques to creatively envision anatomical body parts, mixed with flora and fauna.

This series called: Anatomy of Emotions is inspired by her own parts work therapy, Floriography – the victorian language of flowers and the hope that Spring brings.
