Diaspora Arts is proud to welcome back Hamed Nikpay and his world music band to the San Francisco Bay Area. Join us for an evening of enchanting music from Hamed Nikpay.

Fusion vocalist, Hamed Nikpay, is returning to San Francisco with a new world class band to perform some of his popular hits with a new rendition. The performance will include selections of songs from the body of his work included in his albums and his singles arranged with a new sound, as well as improvisations with the members of Band. Hamed will perform the vocals, play the oud (lute) and electric guitar. In addition to being a vocalist, Hamed Nikpay is a multi-instrumentalist, songwriter, and experimental artist. He combines classic Persian folklore, poetry, and melodies with soulful Flamenco styles, smooth jazz, and Latin beats. His visionary work has been called a mystical fusion of transcendental Sufi sounds and contemporary funk.
