Brava Theater: Celebrating Larry Itliong

“Larry the Musical” and Brava Theater cordially invite you to a special birthday celebration honoring the legacy of Filipino labor leader, Larry Itliong. This event marks what would have been Larry Itliong’s 110th birthday. As a fitting tribute to his enduring impact, the evening promises to be an unforgettable experience, featuring captivating performances, insightful discussions, and a celebration of Itliong’s life and legacy during Filipino American History Month.

The evening’s program includes:

New Songs: Be among the first to hear brand-new songs performed by the talented Filipino American cast, set to make its premiere at Brava Theater in March 2024.

Inspirational Videos: Delve into the creative process and journey of “Larry the Musical” as we screen videos from prior workshops. Gain insights into the making of this powerful and moving production.

Panel Discussion: Hear directly from creatives behind “Larry the Musical” as they engage in a panel discussion. Gain a deeper understanding of how Larry Itliong’s story was brought to life.

Following the program, join us in the lobby for a reception of cake and light refreshments, where you can mingle with fellow attendees, artists, and members of the creative team.
