A shared bill of solo sets and a brand new collaboration from two singular composers working across ambient sound, improvisation, and experimental composition.
Jensen brings music from “In holiday clothing, out of the great darkness,” her acclaimed 2025 album, named one of NPR Music’s best albums of 2025, with NPR’s Tom Huizenga describing it as a “kaleidoscopic, surging cathedral of sound.”
Johnson presents “Caoineadh,” a new live work moving through composition, improvisation, pulse, and atmosphere. Together, they premiere “Hand on the Bay,” a new collaborative project shaped by graphic score and slow-burning harmonic drift.
A rare night of cello, guitar, electronics, and ambient composition.
