Most Venezuelan immigrants in the Bay Area came here under “temporary protected status,” and were issued Social Security numbers and work permits. Oscar Palma interviews Venezuelans who now fear deportation after the Trump administration announced it was ending the 2023 TPS designation.

A partnership with Jazz in the Neighborhood is bringing live music twice monthly to Shuggie’s Trash Pie in the Mission. The innovative restaurant is part of a guaranteed fair wage program for musicians that’s expanding its reach in the city.
