…at events held on city property, The Snitch reports.
To quote The Snitch, which calls the measure “well-intended, but heavy-handed”:
“In lieu of selling bottled water, events such as concerts or festivals could sell or give away reusable containers of water and then provide cisterns or water fountains with which to fill them.
“Regardless of the good economic and environmental sense of not buying water when the H2O running through San Francisco’s taps is among the world’s best, the idea of lining up to buy a cup, then lining up to fill it will likely not be an easy sell.”
Would it really be that logistically complicated, though? There was a time before bottled water, right? How did humans at concerts function then?

Is it true that SF water from tap is “among the world’s best”? Why do I find this so hard to believe? If so, follow the Roman example and make it freely available and accessible. People won’t buy bottled water if they don’t think the tap is poisoning them.
