Nima Momeni, the alleged killer of Bob Lee, got combative on the stand yesterday as prosecutors tried to pin down details of Lee’s stabbing. Momeni said Lee “walked away just fine” from their altercation, and suggested that a homeless person could have killed him.
“Accountability” has been a big buzzword for mayor-elect Daniel Lurie. So what has he promised to accomplish? Xueer Lu looks at Lurie’s plans for running the city, and asks a former mayor about the ideas.
Chyanne Chen was leading yesterday evening against Michael Lai in the race for D11 supervisor by just over 200 votes. In the other outstanding race, incumbent Board of Education President Matt Alexander solidified his lead. There are still about 15,000 remaining ballots to be counted; we’ll keep posting election updates here.
