You may be approaching overload from so much debate drama and polling hysteria on the national scene—but we’ve got a bit of our own here. Mayor London Breed pulled out of a debate last week, saying its organizers were committed to supporting Mark Farrell. New polls show her up 10 percent since February.

See how they run dives into Mayor Breed’s campaign financing today. She has the most small-dollar direct donors, who can only give $500 each. But her PAC, which can accept unlimited amounts, is raking in support from billionaires like Chris Larsen ($400,000) and Mike Bloomberg ($200,00) as well as from local spenders like heiress Dede Wilsey.

The San Francisco races are more costly than ever, and a quarter of all the money flowing into the city’s November races comes from just 10 donors. We’ve got 4 other important takeaways from the data on campaign finance.

The FBI raided a towing company in Bayview this week, announcing money laundering charges against the owners. The company was suspended last month by the city attorney for “predatory” towing, and allegations that the owners bought a $289,000 Lamborghini while fraudulently getting welfare benefits.
