On Sunday at 7:50 p.m., a 46-year-old man was drinking with a man in his 40s near 15th and Julian streets when the pair got in a fight. The man in his 40s pulled out a knife and stabbed the victim in the thumb, causing a small cut. The victim was treated at the scene, and no arrest was made.

And on Sunday at 8:30 p.m., a 23-year-old woman was trying to break up a family fight in an apartment on 24th Street between Harrison and Folsom streets when she was hit in the lip. She temporarily lost consciousness, but said it was due to her pregnancy, not the jab to the mouth.

She was transported to the hospital in stable condition, and no arrest was made.

Crime is trauma and the county offers different services. Here is a link to a page of services.

Victims of violent crime can also contact the Trauma Recovery Center at UCSF.
