A 44-year-old woman walking on 23rd Street near Hampshire Street at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday was approached by a woman in her early 60s asking for directions. After ignoring her request and walking away, the 44-year-old said a white, two-door car pulled up alongside her. Inside was the woman in her 60s and a man in his 40s, who told the victim to get in the car.
The woman said she was afraid for her safety and got in the car, when she was driven away by the pair, who asked for her money. She gave them cash, a cell phone, and a debit card before being dropped off, uninjured.
The police have not made an arrest.
Crime is trauma and the county offers different services. Here is a link to a page of services.

I feel like this could happen to me any day. Can anyone advise what the appropriate reaction would be the for the victim in this case? Give directions? Get in the car?
Who ignores someone when they ask for directions?
Someone who has a sense that the individual asking for directions is up to no good…
