A 22-year-old man was punched in the face and robbed last night in the Mission District, though he was not seriously injured and did not require transport to the hospital.

The victim was waiting in line for the public bathroom at the BART plaza on 24th and Mission along with a 19-year-old man when he was punched by the 19-year-old. The victim’s wallet fell to the ground and was snatched by the suspect. The victim then ran to his car, and the suspect followed him and smashed his windshield. The suspect made off with the stolen wallet, but the police later arrested him.

Crime is trauma and the county offers different services. Here is a link to a page of services.

Victims of violent crime can also contact the Trauma Recovery Center at UCSF.
