At 3:30 a.m. on Thursday, a 27-year-old man and his friend were walking near 14th and Mission Streets when three other men approached them. The 27-year-old told police that one of these men started shooting at his friend, and another stabbed him several times – in the arm, back, and abdomen.
The stabbing victim then went to the police station to report the attack, apparently leaving his friend behind.
The officers responded to the area and did not find a crime scene, nor a shooting victim.
The stabbing victim was transported to San Francisco General Hospital for treatment of non-life threatening wounds.
No arrests have been made.
