Zach Crockett, a writer at priceonomics and a Mission resident who happened to bike by last Wednesday’s night fire, was the first to answer a question circulating on Twitter – people wanted to know what they could do, how they could help. He set up a gofundme campaign that has already raised more than $110,000.
Over the last week, he’s also been meeting and talking with the families and recently posted a profile of the Segovia-Caro family.
