Clean Street Signs. Photo by Kathleen Narruhn

It is 8:40 a.m. but these photos were taken earlier this morning. It is now 56˚ and expected to rise  to 65˚. Details for the next ten days here.

Today’s block: My walk started at 21st & Harrison down to Alabama the up 22nd and finishing along Harrison St.

This morning I encountered 1 girl with backpack, 1 traveler with her suitcase, 2 bicyclists, 1 talkative couple, a man warming up his car, a young man driving with the bass loud and a man who looked like he was walking to work. I noticed many planters, flowers, many warning signs and a well kept block. It’s going to be a beautiful day

With the light good early on, so much the better to sign on to document your block. Don’t wait!  Let us know what day and block you would like at info@missionlocal.com.

You can see a map of all of the blocks here.  The blocks in grey are being saved for others who have signed up. Let us save a block for you as well.

I have lived in San Francisco since 1961 when my Dad moved us for his new employment from Stockton, CA. It was great growing up in the City back then. We lived in Eureka Valley and when I became an adult I moved over the hill to Noe Valley. In 1982 we looked to buy property and settled in the Mission. We bought a pair of flats with friends & we both raised our families here. Our adult children have moved on. We remain and continue to watch the neighborhood change.
